Almost Famous occupies a boldly designed space inside CHIJMES — Singapore's most beautiful heritage dining complex, set in a converted 19th-century convent at the edge of the Civic District. The bar's interior is deliberately brutalist: raw concrete, steel, and wood left unpolished, softened by warm mid-century lighting and a soundtrack that lets the night do the talking. The 15-tap bar pours a rotating selection of craft beers and cocktails, with a focus on local and regional producers — Singapore's Brewlander features regularly alongside beers from Young Master (Hong Kong), UCHU Brewing (Japan), and Pasteur Street (Vietnam), among others. The bar's unpretentious approach to curation means the list shifts constantly, always offering something worth exploring. The food is Korean-inspired small plates and K-Mex fare designed to pair with the drinks: beef short rib, fried chicken, gyoza with tom yum sauce, and seasonal specials. Happy hour runs Monday to Saturday 4–7pm and Sunday 2–8pm, with pints of craft beer from S$10.
