Hops Craft Beer Garden is Cambodia's most celebrated craft beer destination and the home of Bash Brewing, the country's first independent international microbrewery. Opened in 2016, Hops Central is set on Street 228 in the lively Boeung Keng Kang district β one of Phnom Penh's most popular areas for dining and nightlife β with a large, shaded outdoor beer garden centred on an iconic mature tree, alongside an air-conditioned restaurant, art lounge, private meeting rooms, terraces, and a sports bar with high-end billiard tables and electronic darts.
The beer is brewed on-site by a German brewmaster strictly following the 500-year-old Reinheitsgebot (German purity law), using only malt, hops, yeast, and water. The result is a lineup of fresh, all-natural craft beers that rotate across styles including Gold Angel (lager), Silver Angel (light lager), Amber Witch (wheat), Bash IPA, and Red Fury (red ale). Tasting boards let you sample across the range, and beers are priced around USD 4β6 per glass.
The food menu is anchored in German and international cuisine β giant pretzels, house-made breads, JΓ€ger schnitzel, crispy pork knuckle, beer-battered fish and chips, and sausage platters. The weekly Friday BBQ (6β10pm, free flow included) and weekend brunch (11amβ4pm) are among the most popular events in Phnom Penh's social calendar. A second venue, Hops Villa, is located in Tuol Kork in a renovated Art Deco villa surrounded by gardens, offering a quieter, more refined setting. A third outlet operates inside the Phnom Penh City Center mall.
