Sak Pub is a welcome anomaly on the Phnom Penh craft beer scene: a fully Khmer-owned and staffed brewpub in a city where most craft beer venues are expat-run. Located in a small alley off Street 51 behind the Patio Hotel in BKK1, the compact bar has a warm, intimate character that sets it apart from bigger, more prominent venues in the neighbourhood.
Up to a dozen Cambodian craft beers rotate across the taps, covering Sak Pub's own house brews alongside well-regarded names from Kingdom Breweries, Botanico (formerly Cerevisia), and others. Imported cans and bottles โ including regional favourites like MixTape from Vietnam โ round out the selection. The NEIPA and stout from the house range have received particular praise from visiting beer enthusiasts. Tasting flights are available, making it easy to explore the full lineup.
A short food menu of pizzas and simple bites provides solid support for the beers. Crucially for a tropical climate, the space is fully air-conditioned โ a small but genuinely appreciated detail when you're in the mood for slow, contemplative sipping rather than a sweaty outdoor beer garden. Open daily from 3:30PM to 11:30PM.
