The Box Office

The Box Office is one of Phnom Penh's most well-loved bars, combining a seriously impressive craft beer selection with comfort food that wouldn't look out of place in a decent British pub. More than 30 taps pour a mix of Cambodian craft, regional Asian, and mainstream beers — the local contingent is particularly strong — while the bottled and canned selection adds further depth, including imported craft brews and a smaller selection of ciders and meads.

On the food side, The Box Office goes further than most craft beer bars in Phnom Penh. The full English breakfast, proper fish and chips, Sunday roast, and rotating pies are among the most discussed dishes on the Phnom Penh expat circuit. Portions are generous and prices are considered fair for the quality on offer.

Beyond beer and food, The Box Office punches well above its weight as a community venue. Open mic nights, comedy evenings, film screenings, and quiz nights are regular fixtures on the calendar, and the pub has built a loyal local following that keeps the place humming from early morning (opens at 7:30AM on weekdays) through to well past midnight. A speakeasy theatre space has also been added to the premises, bringing live performances into the mix.
