Boxing Cat Brewery

Founded by American brewmaster Michael Jordan as one of mainland China's first craft breweries, Boxing Cat set out to bring quality beer to a city of watery lagers and became synonymous with Shanghai craft brewing. This is the most atmospheric of its outposts, with exposed brick and leather sofas.

Start with the flagship TKO IPA or the American Wheat, then look for seasonal releases, all brewed in-house. From the Southern comfort menu, order the Blackened Fish Tacos, the house favourite.
