Deadman Brewery brews from a unit in a San Po Kong industrial building and pairs the brewhouse with a bar area that's a genuine destination in its own right. The branding is loud and cartoonish — skull motifs, steampunk can art, beers named Happy Camper, Nelson's Day Off and Pineapple Express — but the beer is serious: the brewery took Hong Kong Brewery of the Year at the 2020 Asia International Beer Competition and Champion Small Sized Brewery of Asia at the Asia Beer Championship the same year.

The signature experience is the Friday brewery tour. For a flat fee you get a guided walk through the brewing process, including the cold room and a taste of semi-finished beer straight from the tank, followed by six hours of free-flow tasting across the core range and whatever is on tap. The space is generous, with pool, table tennis and board games, and a retail wall stocking the full can lineup. There's no kitchen, but you're welcome to bring food in or order delivery.

Styles span West Coast and hazy IPAs, pilsners, stouts, sours and cider — the Dirty Pale Ale and Crazy Rabbits Espresso Stout are long-standing favourites. Tours must be booked in advance, and the taproom is not a walk-in neighbourhood bar, so plan around the Friday session or a private booking.
