Brewing on site takes a traditional line: lagers, wheat beers, stouts, ales and seasonal specials, with the wheat beer a regular standout. The British-pub-meets-retro-Bangalore interior of wood panelling and comfortable chairs feels like a neighbourhood local despite the central location.

It's on the second floor of the corner building at Lavelle Road and Vittal Mallya Road; grab a window seat for people-watching. Mezze platters and grilled meats suit a long session, and fine-dining sibling The Chop House shares the space.
