Breman Brewery & Bar is Bali's pioneering independent microbrewery, sitting just steps from Keramas Beach in the Gianyar Regency on the island's east coast. Founded in late 2020, Breman takes its name from the Sanskrit word bremantyo — meaning 'good spirit' — and lives up to it with a genuine commitment to craft beer made in Bali, for Bali. The brewery operates with cutting-edge German brewing technology and is one of Indonesia's few fully licensed microbreweries. Its flagship beers include Breman Terang (a crisp, light lager), Breman Gelap (a bold, malty dark lager), and seasonal specials like its celebrated Octoberfest edition. Brewery tours are available, letting visitors follow the entire process from grain to glass before settling in with a well-earned pint. The adjacent bar and restaurant occupies an airy, industrial-inspired space with views of surrounding rice paddies — a genuinely relaxing spot a long way from the Seminyak bustle. The kitchen turns out modern Balinese cuisine: sharing plates of lawar, nasi campur packed with house-made condiments, and slow-cooked pork knuckle. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
