Luna Beer Garden sits on the cliffs at Luna Beach Club in Tabanan, about an hour northwest of Seminyak, with open-air bench seating under a canopy of woven bamboo structures and the Indian Ocean directly in front. The tap wall is the reason to make the trip: nine lines, six of them from Bali's own craft breweries, with Island Brewing's Pilsner, Summer Pale and Kolsch alongside Kura Kura's Lager, Session Hazy and IPA. Heineken, Guinness and Erdinger Weissbier round out the pours, and bottles run to the usual regional imports.
Be clear on what this is: a beer garden inside a large beach club, not a dedicated taproom. The kitchen is the main event for most visitors, an earth oven and smokehouse operation turning out Texas BBQ ribs, rotisserie chicken and wood-fired pizzettas alongside Indonesian plates, and there's a full cocktail and wine list. That said, the local tap selection is genuine rather than token, and it's one of the better places on Bali's west coast to drink Bali-brewed beer with a sunset in view.
Open daily from noon to 10pm. Pints are discounted from 4pm to 7pm and there's a happy hour from 7pm to 8pm. Bench seating can be booked online with no minimum spend; front deck and sofa seating carries a minimum spend credited back against food and drinks.
