Beer Hall is one of Jakarta's most distinctive drinking destinations — a vast, warehouse-style venue inside the SCBD complex that channels the communal spirit of a European beer hall with an unmistakably tropical energy. The signature space features exposed brick walls with arched factory windows, soaring double-height ceilings with industrial pendant lights, and a prominent "BOCK HABEN!!" mural that sets the tone immediately.
Part of the Biko Group — the hospitality company behind some of Jakarta's most popular venues — Beer Hall has been a fixture of the SCBD social scene since 2018. The beer programme spans local craft labels, Indonesian staples like Stark and Bintang on tap, and a rotating selection of international imports from New Zealand, Germany, Belgium, and beyond. Equally notable are the cocktails-on-tap: Negroni, Bubble Bath, and Golden Berry poured fresh from dedicated lines.
The food menu covers all the bases for a long session: wood-fired pizza, crispy pork rice with sambal matah (a guest favourite), boneless wings, nachos, and rotating specials drawing on Indonesian and Western influences. A fully equipped private room makes it popular for group events and corporate gatherings. Live bands perform from around 9pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, lifting the energy from relaxed after-work hangout to full-evening entertainment hub.
Centrally positioned in SCBD's Lot 19, Beer Hall is one of the most accessible craft beer venues in South Jakarta — equally suited to a quiet Tuesday lunchtime pint and a Saturday night live music session.
