Sakapatat Brew House & Resto is a Belgian-run beer garden tucked into a leafy plot on Jalan Pakuningratan, just north of Tugu Jogja. It's worth being upfront about what this place is: not a dedicated craft beer bar. The bulk of the drinks list is mainstream Indonesian and imported lager (expect plenty of Bintang, on tap, by the bottle, and even by the tower), and the food menu of burgers, pizza and nasi goreng gets equal billing with the drinks.
That said, it's one of the only places in Yogyakarta where you'll find any craft beer at all. A couple of taps are usually given over to rotating craft options, and the fridge holds a small, changing selection of craft cans alongside the regular lineup. It won't satisfy a dedicated craft beer crawl, but in a city where genuine craft beer options are scarce, it's a legitimate stop for anyone who wants more than Bintang.
The setting is the main draw regardless of what's in the glass: a sprawling open-air garden strung with fairy lights and shaded by frangipani trees, with a smaller vintage-styled indoor area for quieter evenings. Live music plays several nights a week and the vibe stays relaxed even when the garden fills up.
