Nomcraft Taproom Juso is the Osaka taproom of Nomcraft Brewing, a craft brewery based in Aridagawa-cho, Wakayama Prefecture. Despite being a relatively young brewery, Nomcraft has earned national recognition — their Octopus King IPA took first place in the IPA category at Japan Brewers Cup 2024, cementing their reputation as one of the finest IPA producers in the country.
The Juso taproom gives Osaka craft beer drinkers direct access to Nomcraft's full range without the journey to Wakayama. The tap list runs to 12 lines, rotating through Nomcraft's core and seasonal beers — hoppy New England-style IPAs, crisp German-influenced lagers, wheat beers, and limited special releases — along with a handful of carefully chosen guest taps. Pricing is reasonable, with most pours coming in around ¥550–¥880 for 250–400ml.
The taproom operates a BYOF (bring your own food) policy, meaning you can pick up takoyaki, gyoza, or whatever you fancy from the surrounding Juso neighbourhood and eat it alongside your pint. It is a genuinely local, unpretentious spot — friendly to both regulars and first-timers, and particularly buzzing on weekend evenings. Juso is a 3-minute walk away from Hankyu Juso Station.
