Antenna America Shinagawa sits inside the food hall on the third floor of atre Shinagawa, directly connected to JR Shinagawa Station on the Konan (east) side and outside the ticket gates. It was the importer Nagano Trading's first branch outside Yokohama.
This is the smallest of the group's Tokyo outlets: a compact counter with around six to seven taps of American craft beer and roughly ten seats, backed by fridges of imported cans and bottles. A tasting flight lets you work through several pours, and everything is available to take away, which is the main reason people stop in before a Shinkansen departure.
Because it sits within a shared food hall, you can bring food from the surrounding vendors to your table, and it opens early at 10am. Set expectations accordingly: this is a functional station bar in a busy mall rather than an atmospheric taproom, and it can be noisy. What it does well is put genuinely good imported beer within two minutes of the platform.
