Craft Beer Market Jimbocho

Craft Beer Market's Jimbocho branch opened in 2012 as the second outlet of the chain, and it remains one of its more relaxed. It sits on the ground floor of the OB Jimbocho Building at 2-11-15 Kanda-Jimbocho, drawing students, academics and office workers from a neighbourhood famous for its second-hand bookshops. A glazed shopfront opens onto the pavement, and around 40 seats spread across counter stools and wooden tables.

Like every Craft Beer Market, the bar keeps around 30 draught beers on at any time, swapping kegs as they empty and updating the day's list daily. Most of the taps go to Japanese microbreweries, with regular imports and a few larger-brewery lines, and staff are used to helping newcomers choose. Each branch has its own food theme, and here it is slow-roasted chicken cooked in-house, a better-than-average beer snack by chain standards, backed by casual bistro dishes.

Pricing follows the chain-wide structure, which is simple and keeps a second or third glass painless. After several rises in recent years, the group announced in September 2026 that it was returning its standard glass price to the original ¥480; check the menu for current pint pricing and any table charge. An all-you-can-drink plan is available for groups.

It is about two minutes on foot from exit A1 of Jimbocho Station, six minutes from Kudanshita Station exit 6 and around eleven from the east exit of JR Suidobashi. Weekday lunch runs from 11.30am to 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 11pm; on Saturdays it opens from noon to 10pm, and it is closed on Sundays and public holidays. It makes an easy reward after an afternoon browsing the bookshops.
