Mikkeller Bar Tokyo opened in 2017 in the Hyakkendana neighbourhood of Shibuya — a back alley of love hotels and a Shinto shrine that gives the bar a distinctly off-the-beaten-path character. The 20-tap list rotates constantly through the full Mikkeller range — IPAs, sours, saisons, lagers, and barrel-aged ales — alongside taps from respected Japanese breweries.
Small glass pours are available alongside pints, making it easy to explore several styles in one visit. The minimal Scandinavian-meets-Japanese interior features open window seats on the ground floor for street-watching and a quieter seating area upstairs. Small bites, photo chips, and hotdogs round out the food menu. No table charge.
