Eight house beers are led by the pale ale brewed since opening, with the wheat ale and amber also well reviewed, plus seasonals from the company's Pilot Brewery available only here. Beyond the front bar are a cavernous dining room, a heated waterfront terrace and a lounge floating on the canal. Note that this is an American restaurant with a serious brewery attached rather than a geek taproom, and prices are above average.

It's six minutes' walk from Tennozu Isle Station. Book ahead, especially for the floating lounge; there's a dog-friendly section.
