242 by PaperKite is the newest venue from PaperKite Brewing Co., widely credited as Malaysia's first homegrown craft beer and the first Malaysian brewery to medal at the World Beer Awards. Named for its height of 242 metres above sea level, it is the most central place in the city to drink the core range fresh, from the gold-winning Oatmeal Stout and Copper Ale to a citrusy IPA. The room itself is a talking point: concrete tunnels, moss walls and suspended boulders framing views of the Petronas Towers.
Tip: inside the building it trades as Tap Room @ Hanging Gardens, so look for that name at the Level 50 lift, and book ahead for sunset tables at weekends.
