Easy to walk past and worth hunting down: BIER Garden Melaka sits in a hidden alley behind a temple just off Jalan Kampung Pantai, its weathered brick-and-concrete courtyard strung with fairy lights and furnished with rattan chairs over bare gravel. Bottles hang on display in wire-cage wall mounts, and the whole place has the feel of a backyard hangout rather than a heritage-district bar. It's dog-friendly, so regulars often turn up with theirs in tow.
There's no draught here β BIER Garden runs a cans-and-bottles-only format, with a rotating fridge that's leaned recently on Garage Project's Iron Pig and HΔpi Daze alongside Malaysia's own Monster & Beer. It's a solid detour for anyone working through Melaka's UNESCO heritage core who wants a curated import and local can selection rather than another mainstream lager.
