Owned by craft beer obsessive Mike and his partner Lily, House of Hops has direct relationships with breweries such as Garage Project (NZ), Verdant (UK), Vault City (UK), Collective Arts (CA) and Fuerst Wiacek (DE). The rotating draft is backed by a constantly changing fridge, and the vibe is warm and unhurried.

Go on a Friday for live bands, or on big match days for sport. Order the white miso butter popcorn, Shiro Hamaguri clams or jalapeño popper balls; visit often enough and you might earn a spot on the Certified Geeks photo wall.
