Tap Station

Tap Station is one of Manila's most enduring craft beer success stories. Founded in 2016 by Swedish expat Morgan Kallefjord and his Filipino wife Rosemary, the brand set out to introduce serious craft beer culture to the Philippines at a time when the scene was just finding its feet. The BGC branch at Burgos Circle is the flagship — a compact, open-frontage bar tucked into the Forbes Town Center courtyard in Bonifacio Global City, with an instantly recognisable setup: industrial keg stools, timber high tables, walls lined with vintage Manila photographs, and a long row of taps behind the bar.

The tap list is the main event. Tap Station consistently pours 20 or more craft beers across Philippine craft, Swedish imports, German classics, and rotating international guest taps. House brews under the Craft Revolt label — developed by Morgan himself — are a regular fixture alongside local favourites from Nipa Brew, Joe's Brew, and Katipunan Craft Ales. The beer menu spans the full spectrum from session lagers and wheat beers to NEIPAs, stouts, and the occasional barrel-aged special, with something to suit both first-timers and seasoned drinkers.

The venue has earned a loyal following among BGC's young professional and expat crowd for its combination of quality beer, knowledgeable staff, live sport screens, and genuinely generous promotions — the daily Early Bird buy-one-get-one from opening until 4pm is one of the best beer deals in Metro Manila. Food runs to quality bar bites including Swedish meatballs, burgers, and cheese boards. The al fresco courtyard setting is breezy and social, and the bar stays open well into the early hours on weekends. Tap Station has since expanded to multiple Metro Manila locations including Makati Circuit Lane and Salcedo Village.
