MALT Craft Beer Bar was the first dedicated craft beer bar on Beach Road, tucked into the ground floor of Concourse Skyline. The name is a play on words β in Hokkien, beer is colloquially called "Ang Mo Liang Teh" (red-haired people's cooling tea), abbreviated AMLT, which owner William reshuffled into MALT, a nod to one of beer's core ingredients.
The bar pours 12 rotating taps that change weekly, spanning approachable fruited pale ales through to barrel-aged imperial sours and triple IPAs sourced from the UK, Australia, Japan, and beyond, alongside bottles and cans. Food leans Italian and Japanese, with a menu of more than 20 wood-fired pizza styles and a Weekend Supper Club that pairs cooking with the tap list.
The contemporary, industrial-tinged space offers both indoor and sheltered outdoor seating, and owner William is known for personally walking regulars through the rotating selection based on their taste.
