Freebird (Stanley Street)

The original opened in 2021 in the basement of Katong Shopping Centre and built its following on constantly rotating taps, knowledgeable service and food well beyond standard bar snacks. Expect sought-after imports alongside Singapore breweries, with IPAs, stouts and sours regularly featuring, cans filling the gaps and highballs for non-beer drinkers.

It's a short walk from Telok Ayer and Tanjong Pagar MRT, handy for the Cecil Street office towers. The tap list and menu here are still settling in, so check the Instagram before a special trip.
