Upward Taproom

Upward Taproom is a laid-back craft beer bar tucked inside the Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre on Club Street, just steps from Chinatown and Telok Ayer. Opened in 2024 by a Singaporean couple with strong ties to the fast-growing Chinese craft beer scene, the bar has built a reputation for showcasing brews from breweries like Wild West, Wumu, Little FaFa and Pink Blossoms alongside familiar local names such as BrewLander, and the odd international guest tap.

The vibe is intentionally calm and minimalist rather than buzzy — a "supply station" for unwinding after work rather than a party spot. Around 16 rotating taps run alongside a small bar bites menu of skewers and snacks, with outdoor seating available and a daily happy hour.
