Welcome Ren Min is the Maxwell Food Centre outpost of Ren Min ("people" in Mandarin) — the taproom formerly known as 3rd Culture Brewing Co., rebranded in 2020 by founder Manbeer Singh after years of working alongside hawker vendors. The iconic red hawker-centre chair became the brand's logo, a nod to its commitment to keeping craft beer part of everyday Singapore food-court culture rather than a separate, pricier scene.
Ren Min now brews its own beers via a dedicated facility, with a rotating line-up inspired by Singapore's architectural landmarks — recent releases have included a citrusy session IPA, an American IPA, and a farmhouse ale finished with Sicilian orange and pink peppercorn. Pull up a stool among the hawker stalls, grab a plate from a neighbouring vendor, and pair it with a cold, thoughtfully brewed pint at hawker-centre prices. A sister stall, Hello Ren Min, runs the same concept at Old Airport Road Food Centre.
