The twelve tanks and copper kettles were craned up through a partly dismantled facade, and German-certified brewmaster Gabriel Garcia, here since 2012, brews with 100% certified organic malt and hops. Alongside a blond lager, porter and Czech-style pilsner, look for the Oktoberfest Festbier and Hoppy 15, made with 15 hop varieties. Spent grain turns up in the pasta, breads and desserts.

The wraparound terrace, with views to Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands, is the real draw at sunset, so book ahead, especially at weekends. First-timers should start with a tasting paddle.
