Wild Wave Brewing Co. was founded in 2015 and quickly distinguished itself as the first craft brewery in South Korea to make sour and wild-fermented beers its primary focus. At a time when even IPAs were a novelty in Korea, Wild Wave was producing spontaneous-fermentation sours, barrel-aged ales, and wild yeast beers — a move that earned it a dedicated following among the Korean craft beer community and considerable attention from international visitors. The Gwangan location sits close to Gwangalli Beach, within easy walking distance of Galmegi and Gorilla. The taproom has a lived-in, intimate feel — carpet on the floor, low lighting, the atmosphere of a neighbourhood bar rather than a showpiece venue. Nine or more own-brewed taps pour year-round styles (sour ales, NEIPA, pale ales, saison, stout) alongside seasonals and limited barrel-aged releases. The bottle list is one of the best in Busan, including some rare Korean craft and imported bottles available for takeaway. The brewery does not insist on food orders, which is appreciated by those who just want to work through the tap list at their own pace. Wild Wave's beers are distributed nationally, but the Gwangan taproom is where the freshest pours and the rarest releases are found. The Surfing High Summer Ale, Gwangan Weissbier, and Surleim Dry-hopped Sour Ale are frequently cited highlights. **Opening Hours** Daily: check website for current hours
