Artmonster (Euljiro)

Artmonster's Euljiro taproom, at 349-1 Euljiro 3-ga in Jung District, is the brewery's main venue. Euljiro 3-ga is the former ironworks district turned nightlife hub, and the bar suits it: graffiti walls, art-heavy retro styling and a moody neon-lit counter, reached up a narrow staircase off the street under an oversized neon sign. Beer Asia goes as far as calling Artmonster the Blade Runner of Seoul's breweries.

The taps pour the brewery's own core range, seasonals and collaborations. Reports differ on how ordering works: some visitors describe ordering through a tablet at the table, while Beer Asia's guide describes Artmonster's wristband system, where you tap an electronic band against one of around 16 taps to pour small samples before committing to a full glass. Either way, building a tasting flight is simple even without Korean.

Pair it with the wood-fired pizza, or fries and fried chicken. Beer Asia lists opening hours of 5pm to 1am on weekdays, 3pm to 1am on Saturdays and 3pm to 11pm on Sundays, so it works as an early-evening start or a late finish in Euljiro.
