Zhang Men Brewing – KW2

Zhang Men Brewing's KW2 location is the brewery's most impressive Kaohsiung outpost, and one of the most dramatically situated craft beer taprooms in all of Taiwan. Occupying a beautifully restored section of Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No. 2 (棧貳庫 KW2), the taproom sits right on the working harbour, with its outdoor terrace offering sweeping views across the water towards Cijin Island and the evening skyline.

KW2 itself is a landmark industrial warehouse dating back to the Japanese colonial era, originally built to store sugar for export. Today it houses a curated collection of artisan brands, restaurants, and creative spaces — and Zhang Men's anchor position here, with its long tap wall of 30-plus handles, makes it a natural first stop on any visit to the complex. The beer range mirrors Zhang Men's full production line: crisp pilsners, hop-forward IPAs, Belgian-style ales, wheat beers, dark lagers, sours, and seasonal specials — all transported from the Xizhi brewery at peak freshness.

The indoor taproom is air-conditioned and spacious, while the outdoor terrace is particularly sought-after at golden hour, when the setting sun throws long light across the harbour water. Zhang Men KW2 also functions as a full Tap Restaurant, offering a substantial food menu to accompany the beers — a step up from the lighter snack menus at some Zhang Men Tap Bistro locations.
