Taihu Brewing – Taichung

The name translates roughly as a place to sip and savour, and rustic brick walls, warm lighting and a 'Back to the Taihu' neon sign set the scene. Around 15 house taps pour the award-winning IPA, hazy wheats, fruit beers and seasonals, with five more for American and international imports. Staff are Level 1 Cicerone certified and happy to guide you.

Go on a warm evening for the rooftop terrace, which is at its most popular then; weekends are lively and weekdays more relaxed. Smash burgers, chicken stacks and nachos suit a long session.
