23 Music Room

23 Brewing was founded in 2013 by three American residents of Taipei who met through a home brewing course, and it has since grown into one of Taiwan's most recognisable independent breweries. The brewery runs two distinct Taipei taprooms: 23 Public, a compact record-shop-style bar in Da'an, and 23 Music Room, the higher-energy sibling venue in a busy commercial complex that also hosts underground clubs and open-air food stalls. 23 Music Room is the place to experience 23 Brewing at its most social. The entrance, plastered with gig posters and DJ flyers, opens into a multi-floor complex built around live music and late-night drinking. The tap list features 23 Brewing's full rotating range — a bold and experimental portfolio that includes a standout Zone Out Coffee Dark Lager, hoppy pale ales, fruit sours, and seasonal collaborations. Guest taps from other local and international breweries fill out the board. The venue draws a diverse crowd: expats, locals, music fans, and craft beer regulars who know the quality of what's on tap. DJs and live bands keep the energy up on weekends, and the open-air sections make it one of the more atmospheric drinking spots in central Taipei.
