23 Brewing was founded in 2013 by three American Taipei residents who met on a homebrewing course. The house range is the point: Taiwan Number One Pale Ale, Natural Blonde, Zone Out Cat coffee dark lager, cucumber and passion fruit sours, a double IPA and the unfiltered Uncut Pure AF.

It's about five minutes from Technology Building MRT and the quieter of the brewery's two Taipei venues. Order the six-glass flight to work through the range. With free WiFi and power outlets, it doubles as an afternoon workspace, and there's a back room for groups.
