Flow Brewing Beer Taproom

Flow Brewing (心流釀造) was started in 2023 by Joe Merrell and Tyler Rubin on the stated motto of "great friends making great beer in a great place". It is a genuine nanobrewery rather than a brand with a taproom attached, which in Taipei still puts it in a small minority.

The taproom on Jiaxing Street in Xinyi is small and unfussy, running eight to ten lines of house beer. Regulars point to Ripple (連漪), a hazy IPA, the Deep Chill (深層心靜), a Beach Beer built for Taipei summers, and a Strawberry Cheesecake dessert beer that does more than novelty. Cans go out in four-packs around NT$1,000 and the beer now appears on tap at Mikkeller Bar Taipei and taprooms further afield.

It rates 5.0 across more than 130 Google reviews, which is close to unheard of, and the crowd is a mix of Xinyi locals and beer people who have made the trip. Closed Mondays.
