Hit Cat Brewing

Hit Cat Brewing (打貓酒廠) is an unusual proposition: its beer is contract-brewed in the Barossa Valley, where it also acts as exclusive representative for Barossa Valley Brewing, while its base is in Chiayi. The Australian angle gives the tap list a character you won't find elsewhere in the city.

Opening from 11am makes it one of the few places in Taipei to drink good beer in daylight, and an easy stop between shopping and dinner. Pours start at roughly NT$200; popcorn chicken and waffle fries run around NT$180.
