Jolly Brewery & Restaurant – Hengyang

The Hengyang Road branch puts Jolly in the Bo'ai shopping district, the older commercial quarter between Taipei Main Station and Ximen, and it has become something of an institution there. Same formula as Neihu — a working house brewery paired with a Thai kitchen — in a location with considerably more passing trade.

The beers are Jolly's own, brewed to sit alongside sour-and-spicy Thai plates rather than to be drunk in isolation. The room also screens live sport, which gives it a different evening character to the Neihu branch's restaurant feel.

It holds 4.2 across around sixty TripAdvisor reviews and ranks 63rd of nearly 800 restaurants in Zhongzheng. As at Neihu, lunch and dinner run as separate sittings with a break between, so check the timing before making the trip.
