Learn Bar (學吧) takes its name literally. Around twenty taps run an exclusively Taiwan-brewed line-up — no imports, no exceptions — and the walls carry charts plotting each beer currently pouring against ABV and bitterness, so you can see where a given pour sits before you commit to it.
That format makes it the single best venue in Taipei for getting a handle on the national scene in one sitting. Taihu, Zhang Men, Jim & Dad's, Flow and a rotating cast of smaller Taiwanese breweries all pass through the board, and because the selection turns over constantly, repeat visits rarely repeat beers.
The bar sits on Xinyi Road in Zhongzheng, a short walk from Dongmen MRT and the Yongkang Street food strip, which makes it easy to fold into an evening that starts or ends with dinner. Food is light. It opens earlier than most Taipei beer bars, from 3pm, which is useful if you want to taste seriously before the room fills up.
