Driftwood is Taihu Brewing's largest and most theatrical Taipei venue, occupying the ground floor of Hotel Papa Whale on Kunming Street in Ximending. Where the brewery's tasting rooms are stripped back, Driftwood goes the other way entirely: thatched canopies over the tables, rattan and rope, and a fit-out assembled from driftwood collected off Taiwan's coastline.

The tap wall is the real draw — more than thirty lines, the deepest Taihu pour in the city, running the full house range alongside guest taps from other Taiwanese and international breweries. Because the turnover is high, it is the most likely place in Taipei to catch a limited or one-off Taihu release still on tap.

Food is generous bar fare in the NT$200–300 range: truffle fries, salted-egg chicken, sharing plates built for a table of four rather than a solo drinker. There is a minimum spend of NT$200 per person Sunday to Thursday and NT$400 Friday and Saturday, so it rewards a proper session rather than a quick one. Ximen MRT is a short walk, which makes it an easy first or last stop on a night out.
