Founded in 2013, Taihu Brewing is the most widely recognised craft brewery in Taiwan, and ๅ้ฃฒๅฎคๅคงๅฎ is its flagship Taipei tasting room. The brewery's range leans on Taiwanese ingredients and sensibilities โ a Peach Weisse that has won multiple international medals, a lychee gose, tea-infused ales and a rolling programme of seasonal and collaboration releases.
The bar is two minutes from Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT down a lane off Ren'ai Road, and there is no street sign โ you look for the queue or the glow. Inside it is deliberately spare: a long wooden bar, minimal American-style fit-out, and 24 taps running the full Taihu range with rotating guests. Staff will talk you through the board properly rather than steering you to the obvious IPA.
Food is bar snacks โ potato wedges, fried pork skin, burgers โ designed to keep you drinking rather than to compete with the beer. The quirk worth knowing is downstairs: a basement cocktail bar called Bodega opens at 8pm, three hours after the beer bar, and runs until 2am on weeknights and 3am at weekends. It is closed Sundays even when the taproom above is open.
