Taiwan Head Brewers Taproom

Taiwan Head Brewers (啤酒頭釀造) is among the country's most critically respected breweries, best known for a rolling series of beers each built around one of the traditional Chinese calendar's seasonal divisions, using ingredients suited to that point in the year. The taproom pours Solar Terms releases that are hard to find anywhere once they sell through, and doubles as a 100-plus capacity event venue.

It runs on tour and tasting bookings, so contact ahead rather than turning up. Sanchong is in New Taipei City, a straightforward MRT ride from the centre.
