Ximen Beer Bar

Ximen Beer Bar (酒肆西門) is a small street-level taproom on Wuchang Street, the stretch of Ximending known as Movie Street for its cluster of cinemas, next to the Wuchang Eslite. Its position shapes the whole proposition.

Six taps rotate through Taiwanese craft — Uchu Brewing and 23 Brewing appear regularly — backed by a large fridge of imported bottles. Pours run around NT$200–250 for 473ml, with a NT$300 minimum spend, and there is a daily happy hour on top of that.

The detail that makes it worth seeking out: present a same-day cinema ticket stub and you get NT$20 off. Given that it sits between the screens and the MRT, it is the obvious place to take a post-film debrief, and it runs late — to 2am most nights and 2:30am at weekends.
