Call Me Papa launched at the end of 2022, and the brand tells its own origin story simply: it started with a mother who liked to drink beer. Founder Sarawut Prasitsongsermsi — "Jiw" — began experimenting on small equipment at home, shared the results with friends, then scaled up into legal commercial production. The name reflects becoming a father. The brewhouse at the far end of Soi Ngamwongwan 25 opened on 12 December 2022 as the brand's flagship, and production runs under Thai Spirit Industry Co., Ltd., which held one of the few licences permitting commercial brewing and nationwide distribution as Thailand's brewing laws began to loosen.

Ten taps pour Call Me Papa's own beer, all brewed on the premises in tanks visible from the seating area, and visitors can tour the production floor. Flagships are the Hazy Milkshake IPA (6.5%), the Cryo-hopped Double Hazy IPA (7.2%, all mango, passion fruit, lychee and grapefruit), Modern Lager, the Call Me Mama witbier (4.5%) and Dynaboost American IPA, with Hoppy Lager, Red IPA, Hazy Pale Ale, Hefeweizen, Dunkel Weizen, Weizenbock and a Nitro Stout filling out the range. Draft-only American, German and Belgian styles rotate roughly monthly and never make it into cans, so the taproom list is genuinely different from what is on shelves.

The trophy cabinet is real. At the Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards the brewery took Silver for Modern Lager and Bronze for Double Hazy IPA in 2025, following two 2024 bronzes for Double Hazy IPA and the Call Me Mama witbier. Modern Lager was also the World Beer Awards 2025 Country Winner for Thailand, and six beers have medalled at the Thailand International Beer Awards, including gold for Dynaboost IPA in 2024. Cans now reach European bottle shops — a foreign buyer holidaying in Thailand was introduced to the beer by a Thai friend and, after roughly three months negotiating with Thai customs and excise, exports began.

The venue is a modern but unpretentious suburban brewhouse with a full restaurant operation: Thai and European dishes plus Japanese food from a partner restaurant sharing the site. Community programming is central — "Papa Teach" solo pilot-batch brewing classes, live music, anniversary parties and festival booths. Expect premium-for-the-area pricing, around āļŋ260 for a 330ml draft plus service and tax.

It sits in Nonthaburi province rather than Bangkok proper, roughly 20–30 minutes' drive north of the centre on the way toward Don Mueang, with on-site parking. There is no rail station nearby, so drive or take a taxi. It is only about 7km from Chit Beer on Ko Kret, so the two pair naturally into one day out.
