Hair of the Dog (Phrom Phong)

Founded in 2015 by Mikkeller Bangkok alumni Mike MacDonald and Pete Spalding, the group has won BK Magazine's best beer bar two years running. Real operating lights and tables set the tone on the ground floor, where Czech side-pour taps cover US, Scandinavian, European and Thai craft, backed by hundreds of bottles, a dedicated stout fridge and around 20% off for takeaway.

It's in the Soi Villa car park off Sukhumvit Soi 33/1, four minutes from BTS Phrom Phong. Order the cheesy larb balls, and note that VAT and service are added to menu prices.
