United Peoples Brewery

United Peoples Brewery — โรงเบียร์สหประชาชื่น — sits in a quiet residential soi a few minutes north of Chatuchak Weekend Market, and it is one of the clearest signs of how much Thailand's brewing landscape has changed. It began as a joint venture between the Group B Beer craft distributor and the brewers behind two respected Thai labels, Sandport Brewing and Yod Beer, with PheeBok Beer also poured on site. The brewhouse opened in 2022 but only began serving beer brewed on the premises in May 2023, after a long renovation. As Bangkok Beer Guide put it, the founding brewers were brewing illegally just a few years earlier and now brew openly.

Around fourteen taps split between house beers, collaborations and Thai guest lines, backed by a large fridge of bottles and cans, with ciders and meads turning up too. House beers logged on Untappd include UPB Lager, Hazy IPA, West Coast IPA, Nimit Tai Weizen, 50/50, Hop In Taoyuan and Chiangkhan Mapraw Kaww — the brewery has more than seventy beers on record. Sandport's Broken Sword red ale is a regular guest.

The space is warehouse-style with large open socialising areas, long tables and a patio; on a breezy evening the outdoor section is the place to be. There is no tourist polish here, which is much of the appeal. Live music starts around 7.30pm most nights — the BeerAsia tour that visited in late 2025 found a five-piece bluegrass band playing and several of the group abandoned the rest of the crawl to stay put. It doubles as a football pub, and is a known gathering point for Newcastle United fans, with regular events and tap takeovers.

Food is proper Thai pub grub plus Western plates: fish-sauce fried pork belly, spicy fried chicken wings, Isaan sausage pasta and beef-fat fried rice. Reckon on roughly ฿250–500 a head. Getting there needs a taxi or Grab — it sits north of Chatuchak Park and west of BTS Ratchayothin but is not walkable from any station. On-site parking is available.

Note that published hours vary between sources and the brewery may have started trading Mondays; the values below are the safest reading, but it is worth a check before making the trip.
