MONKEY HOUSE Craft Beer & Eatery sits right at the street-side entrance of Central Festival Samui in the Bophut/Chaweng area, an open-air spot where you can watch the walking crowd go by while working through the tap list. The room stays relaxed and comfortable despite the open front — beautifully fitted out with handcrafted furniture — and it opens early enough to double as a breakfast stop before turning into an evening beer destination.
The draught line-up runs to more than 20 taps and leans heavily on local and regional craft. The house pours are the island's own Monkey Samui range — a Golden Ale, a wheat ale, and fruit ciders such as pineapple and mango-passion — joined by leading Thai independents like Vana Brewing, Thai Spirit Industry and Dying Brain, plus rotating imports from the likes of Far Yeast and Heart of Darkness. Staff happily pour tasters before you commit, and ordering the smallest size lets you sample your way across the board.
The kitchen is a proper eatery rather than an afterthought: buffalo beef burgers with gorgonzola, pulled-pork sandwiches, wings, salads and sandwiches through the evening, and a full breakfast menu — waffles, eggs and bacon — earlier in the day. With a 4.8-star reputation among visitors and an all-day schedule, it's one of Koh Samui's most reliable craft beer stops.
