Craft Beer Pub

Craft Beer Pub is a long-running Old Quarter fixture at 26 Hàng Buồm, decorated in the style of a French farmhouse with plenty of wood inside. It is popular for its sidewalk seating, sports on the TVs, and a beer list that mixes Vietnamese craft brands like iBiero with imported bottles.

The draught list has run to around eight beers, most of them from Vietnamese craft brewers such as Barett, Platinum and Pasteur Street. Pasteur Street's IPA, brewed with dried jasmine flowers for a lingering floral aroma, is the pour The Smart Local recommended, at VND95,000 a glass when it reviewed the pub.

Football is a big part of the appeal. On match nights, especially for the English Premier League or the Vietnamese national team, Hanoians and visitors pack in to watch, so come early if you want a seat with a view of the screen, or come on a quiet afternoon if you would rather talk.

Pair a pint with pub food: the BBQ pork burger and smoked buffalo plates are standing favourites among regulars. It opens from morning until late, making it an easy all-day base for anyone exploring the Old Quarter.
