Druggists has been one of Singapore's most celebrated craft beer destinations since opening in February 2015, occupying the ground floor of the 80-year-old Singapore Chinese Druggists Association shophouse on Tyrwhitt Road. The space is extraordinary: original floor tiles, marble-topped tables, retro kopitiam chairs, and a vintage Chinese signboard overhead give it an atmosphere impossible to manufacture. The 23-tap wall pours a rotating selection of international craft beers from breweries like Mikkeller, Brouwerij de Molen, To Øl, Cantillon, and Prairie Artisan Ales — a level of curation more commonly found in Brooklyn than Southeast Asia.\n\nStaff are knowledgeable without being precious, and happy to pour a sample before you commit. The food from resident chefs goes well beyond typical bar snacks: elevated Asian comfort cooking — prawn paste wings, Singaporean-inflected mains, and seasonal specials — designed to pair with the beers.
