Hidden off the DUKE highway in the Taman Bamboo neighbourhood of Segambut, Tap Room KL is a landmark for Malaysian craft beer. As the on-site taproom of PaperKite Brewing Co. — the country's first licensed craft brewery — it's the only place you can drink PaperKite's full core range on draught: an Oatmeal Stout, Copper Ale, Pale Ale, IPA, and rotating seasonals like a Hoppy Lager.

What makes it more than just a taproom is the food. A large Stefano Ferrara wood-fired oven turns out exceptional pizzas that have become almost as famous as the beer, and the combination draws serious queues on weekends — book ahead if you're going Friday or Saturday. The space has a warm industrial vibe: exposed brick, high ceilings, and a welcoming crowd of local beer geeks and curious newcomers alike.
