Taps Beer Bar Penang

Operating from a distinctively yellow-painted shopfront in Tanjung Bungah, the Penang branch of Taps Beer Bar brings the same curatorial ethos as the celebrated KL flagship to the northern city. The focus here is on an impressive selection of imported craft beers in cans and bottles, from the US, Europe, Australia, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

Owner Andy has spent years building relationships with breweries and distributors to offer one of the broadest ranges of craft beer on Penang Island. It functions more as a bottle shop with seats than a tap-forward bar — but for sheer variety of packaged craft beer, it's unmatched in the region. Beer delivery across the island is also available.
