RichKat Craft Brewing arrived on Hollywood Road in July 2024 as the brand's first Hong Kong taproom. Founded in Shenzhen in 2017 by master brewer Gavin Hemple, RichKat has grown to nearly 200 taprooms across China on a mission to democratise craft beer. All beers are brewed at the company's own Foshan facility — unfiltered, unpasteurised, and canned with live yeast, as fresh as draught from the tap.
The Sheung Wan location was the Hong Kong debut, arriving with a contemporary industrial fit-out, big-screen sports broadcasting, and a sociable street-front terrace on one of Hong Kong Island's most characterful roads. The beer list spans around 20 styles: standouts include the Star Boy TDH Hazy IPA (triple dry-hopped, tropical fruit forward), Crushed Dreams Grape Gose (deep purple, refreshingly tart), Osmanthus Wheat (Belgian witbier dry-hopped with osmanthus blossom), and Chocolate Imperial Milk Stout (rich cocoa and vanilla). Prices start from HK$23 per can; happy hour draught runs at 35% off until 8pm daily.
The kitchen serves 12-inch wood-fired pizzas and snacks. From 12pm to 8pm every day, a pizza plus two drinks costs HK$99 — one of the best value deals on Hong Kong Island. On Wednesdays from 4pm to 9pm, buffalo wings are available for HK$6 each. RichKat beers have won medals at the World Beer Awards, Australian International Beer Awards, and Brussels Beer Challenge.
