Kallang & Lavender

Kallang and Lavender form a transitional belt between the city centre and the eastern residential neighbourhoods — an area of old HDB blocks, industrial-era shophouses, the Kallang River, and the emerging Kampong Bugis waterfront. The craft beer scene here is small but distinctive, with venues that draw on the area's unhurried, off-the-beaten-path character. With Lavender MRT on the East-West Line and the Kallang MRT nearby on the Circle Line, the area is more accessible than its low-profile suggests.
