Ziggy Zaggy occupies a ground-floor unit at 51 Kampong Bugis inside the Kallang Riverside Condominium — a suburban park setting a short walk from Lavender MRT that rewards the trip with open-air views across a wide field to the Kallang River. Founded by a beer-obsessed husband-and-wife team whose cross-country road trip through the United States left them equally smitten with American craft beer culture and its comfort food, the bar opened in mid-2021 and has since become one of Singapore's most characterful craft beer destinations. The tap wall runs to 18 lines, rotating frequently across styles — dry ciders, robust porters, barleywines aged in whiskey casks, port-barrel sours, hazy IPAs, and session pale ales all appear in the regular rotation. Local Singapore producers such as Brewlander sit alongside Scandinavian and British imports; past highlights have included a six-tap showcase from Norwegian brewery Nøgne Ø. A weekday happy hour takes 20% off draft pours until 7pm, and packaged cans plus a small selection of sake and wine round out the drinks menu. The food programme is built around hearty American diner staples. The signature biscuits and gravy — flaky house-made biscuits drenched in pork sausage gravy, with an optional fried chicken steak add-on — is the dish regulars come back for. The Ziggy Zaggy burger stacks foie gras, smoky bacon, cheddar, and a fried egg on wagyu, while short ribs, craft-beer-battered fish and chips, and pizzas cover most cravings. Weekend breakfast runs Saturday and Sunday from 10am. The interior is intentionally eccentric: a floor-to-ceiling mural of the owner's toddler son, a bar counter tiled entirely in colourful 3.5-inch diskettes, and motorcycle-themed furniture. The front-facing glass walls open onto a spacious outdoor terrace and the field beyond — dogs are welcome both indoors (air-conditioned) and out, with water bowls provided.
